Michael Lewy is a Boston-based artist who makes work about the pull between the worlds we imagine and the one we have to live in. Moving between handmade objects, photography, video, and immersive digital environments, he builds places shaped by forgotten media, memory, and isolation.

He is the curator of Alpha 60, a permanent augmented reality exhibition in Boston’s Emerald Necklace parks featuring work by more than twenty-five artists. Lewy is also the author of Chart Sensation, a book of PowerPoint charts.

Lewy received an MFA in Photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He is a resident artist at Boston Center for the Arts and serves on the board of Boston Cyberarts. His work has been shown at ICA Miami, Boston Cyberarts Gallery, the deCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, and other venues.
