The City of the Forgotten

The City of the Forgotten is a Virtual Reality work for Meta Quest that places viewers in a fog-filled digital city shaped by cultural amnesia. Faceless buildings stand silent while fragments of another time appear: painted heads, everyday objects, and artifacts from a lost history.

With each level, you move further into a dream. Ordinary streets give way to shifting landscapes where these artifacts are overlaid onto the present—objects that don’t belong and yet feel inevitable. The deeper you go, the more the world leans toward forgetting, until you arrive at a museum where what is preserved is already fading, and what is lost becomes the only thing that remains.

The project combines analog paintings with 3D modeling, scanning textures and mapping them onto digital forms to create environments that function as remnants of a culture that remembers nothing of itself.
